Police on Friday declined to comment on an incident in which the home of Kenya’s deputy permanent representative to UN office in Nairobi Yvonne Khamati-Kilonzo, was broken into.
Ms Khamati-Kilonzo, went to the residence in the company of the Diplomatic Police Unit officers from Gigiri.
The officers are said to have jumped over the fence and forced the watchman to open the gate for them.
They drove in and gained access to the house. At around 4pm, she was driven away in her official car followed by the police car.
Her husband, Mr Vincent Kilonzo, was called by neighbours at around 11am and he drove back to Nairobi from Naivasha.
He said he tried to access the bedrooms upstairs but was assaulted by the officers.
Mr Kilonzo said his car was damaged and vowed to sue for damages.
A Diplomatic Police officer at the scene termed it a domestic matter.
