Share/Save/Bookmark The silence by the ODM politicians is worrying some people in the PNU. They claim the ODM side of the coalition is planning a serious counter-strategy and will unleash it when the PNU side is ill-prepared. They are particularly concerned with Prime Minister Raila Odinga who has been in foreign capitals and does not seem keen to speak about Kenyan politics.

Some MPs are complaining that a Cabinet minister used and dumped them sometime back. They say the minister gave them "some appetiser" as an inducement to pass a report involving the minister's docket. The MPs swallowed the bait and promptly adopted the report but the minister has since gone quite. The MPs were overhead bitterly complaining in Parliament that they had been used and dumped!

The KACC sleuths have pitched tent at the Survey of Kenya headquarters on Thika Road in Nairobi to probe a Sh300 million tender given for a parking yard which is said to accommodate about 50 cars. The investigators suspect some senior managers may have taken bribes to give the tenders and are investigating several tenders awarded in the last financial year.

Medical Services minister and ODM secretary general Prof Anyang Nyong’o was overheard at Hilton boasting of the inseparable bond between the PM Raila Odinga and suspended minister William Ruto. Corridors heard that Nyong’o likened the ongoing debacle of ICC and threats of Ruto leaving the party to "fireworks which go very high up the sky but eventually come down . . . The two are already married and have offspring, the marriage might be on the rocks but certainly it has not broken,” the minister was overheard saying.
