Marube who wants to study computer science and aeronautical engineering at university is currently taking a course on Java programming. “As Ellen G White says, those who achieve the greatest results are those who rely most implicitly upon the Almighty arm,” said Marube. He scored 438 marks in KCPE four years ago at St Georges Primary School in Nakuru. “I attribute my good performance to God. It was hard balancing between class work and co-curricular activities. Every Saturday, I had to go to church because I am a Seventh Day Adventist," he said and quoted Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 10 to encourage other candidates.
Describing Marube as a "disciplined and brilliant boy," Alliance High School principal David Kariuki said the school had only one student who scored a grade C. Five students scored B- , four scored B, 19 students had B+, 76 A- and108 students had straight As.
The school had four students among the top ten nationally and took all the nine top positions in Central province.
