The Yes and NO teams are making their final submissions on the proposed constitution, as the campaign period comes to a close Monday.

The Yes group led by President Mwai Kibaki, Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is in Kitui to drum up support for the new law.

The team will later in the afternoon move to Kirigiti stadium in Kiambu where they will wind up their campaigns.

The No team on the other hand is in Mombasa led by Higher Education Minister William Ruto.

The greens and the reds have organized various rallies where MPs, senior government officials and church leaders will give their final word to Kenyans.

On Sunday both sides held two major separate rallies in Nairobi where each side urged Kenyans to vote in their favour.

They also urged Kenyans to turn out in large numbers on Wednesday to cast their votes.

Elsewhere, security has been beefed up in areas considered as hot spots. Kenyans interviewed say they are ready for the big day and called for peace during and after the vote.
