No Campaigns at the Coast

Politicians opposed to the proposed constitution took their No campaigns to the coast. The team which was led by Higher Education Minister William Ruto addresed public rallies in Hola, Garsen, Mpeketoni and Magarini areas. The camp continued to urge voters to reject the proposed constitution and provide an opportunity to amend the contentious issues. Meanwhile retired President Daniel Moi was in Rift Valley province to campaign against the proposed law. Moi faulted the new laws especially the chapter on land and the clause on right to life.
