JIMMY THE CRITIC

President Kibaki’s son, Jimmy, has criticised Central Province MPs saying they have performed dismally since they were elected.

He cited the level of complaints against the MPs as a pointer that many of them will not be re-elected.

Only two of the region’s legislators had worked to the expectation of their electorate, while two others in the larger Nyeri district were the worst performers, the President’s son said.

He was speaking at Mutathini village in Tetu where he presided over a fund-raiser for construction of a police post at the weekend.

The Simama Kenya patron urged voters to source MPs from the private sector to avoid ending up with leaders who concentrated on politics at the expense of development.

He called on Kenyans to vote for the draft constitution.
