MIGUNA NOT KENYAN

The Party of National Unity (PNU) is now taking its war with ODM over the new constitution to the Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s personal advisor, Mr Miguna Miguna.

In a letter addressed to the PM, the party wants Raila to sack his advisor on Coalition Affairs, who is also a member of the Grand Coalition Consensus Committee on the Constitution.

PNU’s Executive Director in charge of Communications Moses Kuria alleges Miguna holds Kenyan and Canadian citizenships.

He urges the PM to sack Miguna and distance himself from him for allegedly violating the laws of Kenya.

PNU argues that while Miguna was born in Kenya, he has since become a citizen of Canada and is required to apply for and obtain relevant permits to live and work in Kenya.

But Miguna said PNU’s allegations are intended to intimidate him into abandoning his struggle for the Kenyan people.

"I was born and bred in Kenya and I have never renounced my citizenship," he said.
