Kidero loses Governors Council vice chairmanship

Kidero vice chairCouncil of Governors Chairman Isaac Ruto retained his position after he was unanimously elected with little known Salim Mvulia from Kwale County clinched the vice chairmanship post.
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero bowed out of the vice chairmanship race after failing to get seconded.
Bungoma Senator Kenneth Lusaka was elected to the Whip’s position switching roles from his former position as a secretary.
In a brief address to the media, Mr Ruto said the main agenda of Friday’s meeting was to hold elections.
“Our agenda is to hold election and discuss reports by the various committees. It will be quite lengthy,” he said.
The more than 40 governors retreated into a closed door meeting before holding the peaceful elections
