In 2008, Lupita starred in an award-winning silent short film titled "East River". It was made by writer-director Marc Grey (Kozak Films) and follows the inter-borough travels of a man (Tommaso Spinelli) who has just arrived in New York City. Lupita plays a Brooklyn photographer he encounters.
