Saturday afternoon saw Orange Democratic Movement nominated senator Daisy Kanainza Nyongesa tie the knotto the love of her life Edward Kiyondi at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands. The couple's entourage later headed to Oak Place Hotel in Ridgeways, Kiambu for the reception.
The wedding attracted both parliament and senate members who congratulated the newlyweds couples for their bold step.
Senator Zipporah Kittony also gave them wise words of advice after the elders from both sides of the family did the same.
Present were Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Senators Elizabeth Ongoro, Joy Gwendo, Moses Kajwang Martha Wangari. ODM nominated MP Isaac Mwaura and his new bride Nelius Mukami Mwaura were among those in the bridal party line up.
The function wrapped up with cake cutting and a champagne toast for the couple.
