Ngali passed away on Thursday night after he fell ill and was and admitted to the Nairobi Hospital on Sunday evening.
He was admitted to the ICU until his death.
Narc Kenya Chairperson Martha Karua mourned the former diplomat saying Kenya has lost one of its finest sons.
”He was a patriot whose desire was to see Kenya rise beyond ethnic divisions, inequalities and marginalization in line with our Motto of One Kenya, one Nation, One People,” Karua said in a statement.
The late Ngali had a distinguished career in the civil service where he rose to be Kenya’s envoy in Britain, Canada, the United States and Uganda.
He later served as a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and upon retirement as Chairman of the Kenya Pipeline Company.
The former diplomat was the Narc-K Secretary General since 2012. He unsuccessfully vied for Taita Taveta gubernatorial seat during the last General Election.
