Deputy Governor ejected from Machakos cabinet meeting
Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala was yesterday kicked out of a county cabinet meeting. He was blocked from getting to his official car, which had its registration number pulled down. Kiala was kicked out of the meeting for asking that the cabinet discuss his security status first.
In a press briefing in his office, Kiala said he walked to his office, which is approximately 300m from the governor’s office. Kiala said he felt “uncomfortable” at the meeting because those who threatened his life were present.
He said Governor Alfred Mutua demanded that he walks out to allow the cabinet to discuss his conduct. Those who pulled down the number plates from Kiala’s car said they were under instructions from Mutua.http://ow.ly/yTlUK
