President elect Uhuru Kenyatta has promised Kenyans that his government will serve all without discrimination should he be sworn in as Kenya's 4th President.
Uhuru was among thousands of mourners who attended the burial of his former school mate, the late Martin Kitisya Malinda in Machakos County.
The two went to the prestigious St.Mary’s school in Nairobi where the late Malinda was made the second “African” headboy after his elder brother, Paul Malinda.
The late Malinda who was until his death the secretary of the Machakos County Development Forum which he founded was laid to rest at his Kibau village home in Mwala constituency.
Uhuru eulogized the late Malinda as a dependable, fond and social person who supported and encouraged them in whatever they were doing.
“I have come here to pay my respects to a dear friend and condole with his family, relatives and friends”, said the president elect.
Uhuru was accompanied by Water and Irrigation Minister Charity Ngilu, Mwala MP elect Engineer Vincent Musyoka, Eastern PC Cleare Amollo, Nairobi Senator elect Mike Sonko Mbuvi, Nairobi women Representative elect Rachael Shebesh,Machakos County Commissioner Anne Gakuria, former Kibwezi MP Agnes Ndetei among others.
Elsewhere, Deputy President elect William Ruto has asked Kenyans to resume their daily work, especially farming as they await the outcome of the petition filed in the supreme court by cord alliance.
Ruto expressed optimism that Jubilee coalition’s over ten lawyer defence team will carry the day against the rigging claims Cord has made against it and the electoral body the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking in Eldoret town for the first time since the march 4th election after meeting elected URP leaders, the former Eldoret North MP called on Kenyans to uphold the peace witnessed during the electioneering period.
