KIBUNJIA to send people to speak to UHURU and RAILA ODINGA on HATE SPEECH

Wednesday, the 20th of March 2013 -The Chairman of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Mzalendo Kibunja earlier today told the media that the commission will be sending emissaries to speak to President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and Prime Minister Raila Odinga on their pronouncements since the March 4thelections.

Mzalendo said that Uhuru and Raila have a public duty to be more responsible about the things they say in public since they could very easily incite their supporters.

Raila and Uhuru have recently been trading words about who really won the March 4th elections. Raila said that he won with 5.7 million of the popular vote while Uhuru told the PM to stop commenting about the election and wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court on the matter.

During the press conference today, Kibunja also revealed that the NCIC has for the last two months been keeping tabs on at least two social media accounts responsible for spreading messages of hate. Kibunja said that the commission would soon be bringing hate speech charges against the account holders.
