Friday February 8, 2013 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga has sensationally claimed that Siaya gubernatorial aspirant William Oduol is “a project of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta” whose sole aim is to divide the Luo community’s vote.
Speaking at Siaya Municipal Council stadium on Thursday, the PM endorsed Cornel Rasanga for the Siaya governor seat, saying Oduol is an enemy of the Luo community.
“Where is Oduol getting all the money he is using for his campaigns, unless he is a project of my opponent?” Raila posed.
The PM said the March 4 elections are critical and said he needs trusted lieutenants who will not be “swayed by money”.
He told his supporters that he wants a “six – piece” suit voting to get rid of traitors of the community.
“I want Nyanza to vote “six –piece suit” from Governor, Senator and MP on March 4th to ensure we consolidate our support in the government,” Raila said.
