RAILA ODINGA in TROUBLE for using State resources during his campaigns

Saturday February 16, 2013 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga is currently swimming in murky waters, after the Commission on Administrative Justice wrote to him warning him over use of public resources during his Presidential campaigns.

In a letter drafted by Commission’s chairman Otiende Amollo, the commission said it has learnt that the PM’s official website contains campaign materials.

He gave the PM a 3-day ultimatum to remove his campaign materials from the website or face “dire consequences” if he fails to withdraw.

“We have written to the office of the Prime Minister because we found campaign materials on the official website of that office,”Amollo said.

Some of the public resources the PM is using include government vehicles, aircraft, official websites and State-owned printing machines among others.

Amollo said there are no other senior government officials who have been reported to the commission for abuse of public resources except Raila Odinga.
