RAILA in more TROUBLE in NYANZA - His confidante defies his orders

Friday February 8, 2013 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga domination in Nyanza politics is slowly waning, after his close confidante defied his advice not to contest for the Rangwe parliamentary seat and instead support the ODM nominee on the March 4thgeneral election.

Immediate former Rangwe MP Martin Ogindo, who lost in the ODM primaries, has vowed to run for the new Homa Bay town constituency seat on Jirongo’s party the Federal Party of Kenya (FPK) which is an affiliate of Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD).

However, Ogindo who is a close ally of the PM, asked his supporters to back the PM for the Presidency and him as the MP.

The PM had earlier asked Ogindo to back his ODM candidate Peter Opondo Kaluma.

The big question Is Raila Odinga losing grip in Nyanza politics?
