Tuesday February 12, 2013 - 8 Presidential candidates last night engaged in a live debate aimed at convincing 14.3 million votes that they are best suited to succeed President Kibaki in the March 4thgeneral election.
According to political analysts, Mohammed Abduba Dida emerged the winner since he had a self touch for the common mwananchi than the other Presidential candidates.
Dida, who is the Alliance for Real change party leader had a common language which touched many problems facing Kenyans.
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta came second with brilliant answers on the International Criminal Court (ICC) cases facing him. He convinced the unconvinced, that is what pundits said.
Uhuru, who is the Jubilee Alliance presidential flag bearer, looked more settled and composed than all other seven Presidential candidates. He had done a thorough homework for the debate.
Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who is CORD’s presidential flag bearer, was too composed and he was only ashamed by the ICC question and some technical government expenditures measures. The PM was confident though came third.
Peter Kenneth came fourth, although many viewers hoped that he will carry the day, he was overconfident and too arrogant for the debate.
Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi was too flat for the debate and he emerged fifth.
Narc person Martha Karua, who was only woman in the debate, was too serious for the debate- pundits say she thought it was a school debate. She became sixth.
Paul Muite was too loud for the debate though unconvincing, pundits said.
Prof Ole Kiyiapi was the last one for the debate- He had crammed all the questions he was asked and he looked too flat for the debate.
