JUST IN: Mandera Central MP Abdikadir Mohammed QUITS POLITICS




Monday, the 14th of January 2013 -News just in indicates that youthful Mandera Central MP Abdikadir Mohammed has today announced that he is quitting electoral politics for the foreseeable future and will not be contesting any seat during the upcoming elections.

Abdikadir had previously allied himself to Musalia Mudavadi’s UDF. Given his youthfulness and intellect, at some point, the grapevine was buzzing that Mudavadi would pick him to be his running mate.

The 36 year old Harvard Law graduate defeated the incumbent Billow Kerrow at the ballot during the 2007 elections while vying on a Safina party ticket. He was one of the youngest MPs in the just concluded parliament.

Abdikadir’s background in law saw him serve as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Affairs that drafted the current constitution.
