Confusion,Party hopping, Witnessed As Nomination Exercise Kicks Off

Former Mumias Sugar boss and aspirant for the Nairobi governorship Dr.Evans Kidero was given the leeway as Nairobi’s Orange Democratic Movement party candidate after his remaining closest rival Philip Kisia decamped to FKF. This comes a day after his other rival Bishop Margaret Wanjiru was barred from contesting by ODM over irregularities pertaining to her education records .
Elsewhere, the nomination exercise failed to kick-off due to absence and delays of nomination papers. In Narok County for instance, voters threatened to go home due to the delay of arrival of ballot boxes and polling papers.
In Siaya County, polling did not kick off as expected because the IEBC register that was to be used was missing.
Meanwhile, voters in Eldoret were shocked upon discovering that the ODM register that was to be used was actually meant for Kisumu county.
Party nominations are expected to see aspirants battle it out for party tickets in Gubernatorial, Senatorial, Women Representative, County Representative and Members of Parliament positions.
