UHURU’s party TNA is STEALING M-Pesa members – Says RAILA’s ODM

Monday November 12, 2012 - Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) central coordinator Peter Kuguru has claimed that The National Alliance (TNA) is registering illegal members.

Speaking at ODM meeting in Murang’a on Sunday, Kuguru said TNA secretly gets details of M-Pesa users and enlists them as its members.

Kuguru who is the Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s point-man in Mt Kenya region said he has evidence of the illegal registration.

“We have evidence of some TNA officials registering members without their consent after getting their names and particulars from M-Pesa agents and church records,” Kuguru said.

He appealed to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to stop the TNA registration in Mt Kenya region.

Kuguru further dismissed the alliance by Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto saying it is based on tribal considerations.

He expressed confidence that despite Uhuru and Ruto forming a pact, the PM will trounce them in the forthcoming general election.
