Sunday November 18, 2012 - Two Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs have dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s assertions that Prime Minister Raila Odinga is a “project” of western countries.
In a statement to press rooms on Saturday, the MPs told Uhuru to help Kenyans address issues affecting them such as that of the land at the coast region where hundreds of Kenyans live as squatters, instead of making wild allegations against the PM.
“This is a statement of desperation because Uhuru knows how futile projects can be. Raila does not need to be anybody’s project because he knows being one only leaves the candidate weak,” Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo said.
Kisumu Town East MP Olago Oluoch said the allegations made by Uhuru was wild and with no facts.
Uhuru who is also The National Alliance (TNA) party leader claimed on Friday that Raila was a western countries “puppet” and plans were being made by foreign powers to pave way for the PM to take over leadership contrary to the wishes of Kenyans.
