Monday November 12, 2012 - New just in indicates that Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) Chairman Omar Mwamnuadzi, his wife, and daughter have finally been released from Shimo La Tewa prison.
The three were released on Monday afternoon after the Shanzu Court accepted a land title deal bail out offered by flamboyant, Makadara lawmaker Mike Sonko.
Mwamnuadzi was arrested with his family in connection with the killing of several police officers and causing violence in Coast province under the ban of MRC.
Sonko had presented his three land title deeds to a Mombasa court to secure the release of MRC leader Omar Mwamnwadzi and his family.
The Makadara MP’s title deeds valued at Sh20 million were accepted as surety after they pledged to preach peace and desist from their ‘Pwani Si Kenya’ mantra.
