MZALENDO KIBUNJA gets new deputy

Friday, the 16th of November 2012 - The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has got a new Vice Chairperson. It has been announced that Milly Lwanga Odongo is the person who will now deputise Mzalendo Kibunja as he seeks to clean up Kenya’s vitriol-filled political landscape.

Odongo replaces Mary Onyango who succumbed to breast cancer on March 31.

Kibunja and Odongo have their work cut out for them since the commission is currently getting a lot of criticism for being ‘all bark and no bite’.  The commission hasn’t chalked up any successes on the ‘hate speech fight’ front since every politician it accuses of the crime always manages to wiggle away free.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a new bold chapter for NCIC.
