MUDAVADI, KALONZO alliance in the works say MPs

Monday, 12th of November 2012 - Four members of parliament from the Wiper Democratic Movement and the United Democratic Forum have spilled the beans on the ongoing talks between the two political parties saying that a pre-poll alliance will be announced within the next two weeks.

The MPs spoke on the back of speculation that Kalonzo is also on the brink of forming an alliance with PM Raila Odinga in order to counter the union between Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto from which the VP was kicked out.

Mudavadi and Kalonzo had ‘breakfast’ last week but at the time, the DPM’s confidant Bonny Khalwale had come out say that the initial meeting had not yielded anything of relevance.

More than anything though, today’s developments point to the fluid nature of Kenya’s politics. It seems ‘everybody is talking to everybody’.
