Keep off from UHURU, he is SELFISH - MOI tells RUTO

Sunday November 18, 2012 - KANU National Chairman Gideon Moi has told Eldoret North MP William Ruto to keep off from an alliance with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta since he is a “selfish” politician.

Speaking at Chameron in Baringo County on Saturday, Gideon who is a son of the former President Daniel Arap Moi maintained that the party will only support Eldoret North MP William Ruto if he runs for the Presidency.

Gideon said he had no problem with Ruto’s Presidential bid but added that he should not accept to be Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s running mate.

He said KANU is still intact and the party to beat adding that those claiming that the party is “dead” are living in a dream world.

The former Baringo Central MP said he is back into active politics and expressed optimism that he will be in the next government.

Moi hinted that he is eying the Baringo County Senator seat in the forthcoming general election.
