RAILA’s boost as Shitanda dumps MUDAVADI’s UDF for RAILA’s ODM

Friday October 12, 2012 - Reports reaching our news desk indicate that Housing Minister Soita Shitanda has dumped Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi’s party the United Democratic Forum (UDF) for Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s party the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Credible reports confirm that Shitanda, who is also the Malava MP, left Mudavadi after wide consultations with his constituents.

He accused Mudavadi by saying that the Mudavadi’s party is dictatorial and disorganised.
The Minister expressed confidence that ODM is a party to watch despite several defections which have rocked the party recently.

He oozed confidence that Prime Minister Raila Odinga will clinch the presidency, saying he is democratic and a reform oriented leader who vigorously fought for the second liberation of this country.

This is a major boost for the PM who has been struggling in wooing Western region electorate in supporting his presidential bid.
