UHURU’s party, TNA, officials are very ARROGANT in alliance

Monday September 3, 2012 - Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s party The National Alliance (TNA) party has dismissed allegations that some party officials are arrogant.

Speaking at an aspirants forum in Nyeri County on Sunday, TNA deputy treasurer Dennis Kirwa said the claims by some leaders involved  in the Norfolk Hotels talks  which sealed  the deal to support Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s bid  for presidency were not true.

Kirwa said no agreement was approved by the TNA National Oversight Board, which is the top-making organ of the party.

He said the board was not privy to any agreement entered between Mr Kenyatta and other party leaders.

The treasurer further added that anything done by the party must be given a nod by the board.

“We are not frustrating any agreement because there was none,” Kirwa said.

Leaders from the Party of National Unity (PNU), Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) and Grand National Coalition had earlier claimed that TNA officials are short changing other parties within the alliance.
