Sumbeiywo is dead

By CYRUS OMBATI Former Presidential Escort Commander Elijah Sumbeiywo died Saturday after a battle with cancer. A family friend said the former Keiyo North MP died of pancreas cancer that he has been battling at a Nairobi hospital. He was a brother to retired Army commander and Sudan peace mediator Lt General Lazarus Sumbeiywo. He was the presidential escort commander under retired President Moi.
