"All of us are going to be the same and nobody will be awarded a free ticket to contest. We are going to be fair to all candidates,” he said during a news conference at his Jogoo House office, Nairobi Wednesday.
Already, former government spokesman Alfred Mutua and former National Water Resources Management Authority chairman Francis Nyenze have joined the party after quitting their government posts.
"We are also expecting Lucas Maitha, who has been chairman of the Betting and Licensing Control Board, to join us very soon,” Mr Musyoka said.
However, Eldoret North MP William Ruto told the Nation that Mr Maitha has already joined his United Republican Party (URP)
"Mr Maitha of the Betting and Licensing Board has already joined our party in fact he is an official already,” Mr Ruto said.
He said that former Kakamega Regional Commissioner Wisdom Mwamburi, who is running for governorship in Taita Taveta, former Higher Education Loans Board chief executive officer Benjamin Cheboi and Eldoret Polytechnic Principal Cleophas Lagat have joined URP.
