President Kibaki attends Mwangi's funeral

President Mwai Kibaki Saturday joined the family, friends, relatives and hundreds of mourners in paying their last respects to a prominent businessman the late Charles Mwangi Kathuri .
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Dr. George Wanjau while the sermon was delivered by the Moderator of P.C.E.A.  Nyeri Rev. Charles Ndanyu.
In his tribute, President Kibaki eulogized the late Mwangi as a friend, an associate and an entrepreneur whose successful life was an inspiration and a lesson Kenyans should endeavor to emulate.
The President said he cherished the time they shared together and his generous intellectual contribution will benefitted many Kenyans with whom they interacted.
President Kibaki assured the bereaved family that he and other close and genuine family friends were ready to offer any assistance they may require.
The late Mwangi 73, who is survived by his widow Charity, three children and several grandchildren was buried at his farm in Kiganjo, Nyeri County.
Among the mourners was Special Programmes Minister Esther Murugi.
