PNU disowns election deal with Uhuru

By Felix olick
The Party of National Unity (PNU) now wants presidential aspirants seeking their support in next year’s General Election to run on the party’s ticket.
This leaves the deal the party had earlier signed with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta to support his candidature on The National Alliance (TNA) party in limbo.
PNU officials maintained all the 25 political parties that propelled President Kibaki to power should come together and nominate one presidential flag bearer if they are ascend to State House.
The officials want the political parties to join PNU to ensure the legacy of President Kibaki lives on.
“We are happy that PNU has produced the highest number of presidential candidates. But what we are telling them is to stop fighting. Why don’t you come home and we choose the strongest,” said PNU Secretary General Amos Kimunya.

“How do you inherit your father’s wealth when you do not stay in his compound?” he posed.
