Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi has sent a message of condolence to the family of the late Arthur Mudogo Kemoli, a former literature lecturer at the University of Nairobi. Kemoli composed the African Union anthem and 'Kansa ya Africa' dedicated to Nelson Mandela.
Mudavadi eulogised Kemoli as a cultural icon and ambassador who composed and performed patriotic songs that urged unity of the Kenyan nation and the African continent. “Through his compositions and performance, Dr Kemoli entertained and taught the virtues of culture and patriotism that will live with Kenyans and Africans”, Mudavadi said.
