When the new Somali President Sheik Mohammed came to Nairobi in April he unsuccessfully tried to get appointments with Kenyan politicians and western diplomats based in Nairobi. Mohammed even asked his friends to fix the appointment but none of those he wanted to meet were available. But since he won elections and was declared President, the same Kenyan politicians and western diplomats are desperately looking for appointments with the former University lecturer.

A number of people close to Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta are unhappy with Grand National Unity Leader Mwangi Kiunjuri. Reason? They have claimed that they have recorded evidence of the assistant minister telling a political meeting in Kirinyaga over the weekend that how sure they are that Uhuru will come back when he goes to Hague for the case he is facing at the International Criminal Court. They now want Kiunjuri to declare publicly whether he is a true friend of Uhuru or not.

Kinuthia Mbugua is racing against time to finish his new home in Nakuru so that he can have a homecoming party that will see him announce his vision for the County of Nakuru where he hopes to be governor. Kinuthia has ordered his foremen to work 24 hours daily to so that they can finish the palatial home by end of next month.

Two cabinet Ministers had an altercation over Tana River Delta revenge killings during the cabinet meeting on Thursday. President Kibaki watched in disbelief as the PM and Haji exchanged bitterly after one of them protested the charging of ODM MP Ali  Dhabo on wednesday. We are told that  one of the Ministers wanted both Abdi Nur and Danson Mungatana be investigated and if found culpable charged as well!

That Former Italian Prime Minister Civilio Balesconi, is in Malindi for holiday is not news. What is news is who he is with and how much money he is spending a day. We are told that the flamboyant businessman and charismatic politician , has flown in  a group of Italian billionaires where he is spending not less than a million shillings daily entertaining them. The man's presence in the Italian dominated town has got tongues wagging with many tourist, especially women and local girls camping near the Balesconi's hotel  wanting to get a glimpse of the controversial politician.
