More than 500 boda boda operators from Kuria have asked Migori county to specify levy collection points. The operators complained the council has been haphazardly erecting road blocks "at every corner", where they collect money. The chairman of the boda boda association John Matatiro asked the council "should come up with designated points known to the riders, because they have been suffering from several taxations." Matatiro said the levy which stands at Sh50-60 was "still high compared to other towns and the council should harmonise it." Kehancha mayor Tobias Range disputed the claims.
