Monday, 17/09/2012 - A media personality who was recently employed by a top media station is being accused of refusing to clear a debt from a boutique store.
The woman is said to have promised to pay for clothes she took in a boutique in Nairobi’s CBD store worth Ksh. 27,000. The personality is said to have bought a pile of nice executive clothes and paid for some. She later on promised to pay the remaining amount with Mpesa the next day.
The boutique owner has come out claiming that the personality is now threatening her. She claims that she has called her severally but the presenter does not pick up her calls nor reply her texts. This is despite the fact that the boutique owner sees her flaunting her clothes on TV. The same clothes she hasn’t paid for.
When the boutique owner told her that she would go to her boss and demand compensation, the personality started threatening her. She claimed to know where the boutique owner lived and would do something to her if she did not keep quiet. The case is still developing and now the boutique owner has filled a report with the police.
