Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on Saturday said was ready to work with United Republican Party (URP) leader, Mr William Ruto in order to win the next General Election and avoid a runoff.
Mr Musyoka said his unity with the Eldoret North MP Mr Ruto will ensure Kenyans remain united and co-exist with one another irrespective of where one comes from.
“If the council of elders propose and approve Mr Ruto, I am ready to support him and likewise if they propose me, Ruto should support me," he added.
On his part, Mr Ruto said that the Vice President was a good friend and will work together for the purpose of uniting all Kenyans.
“There is need to unite all Kenyans so that we form a government that will serve all,” he said.
Mr Ruto said that Kenyans should elect leaders of their choice without being intimidated.
They were speaking at Kapkatet Stadium in Kericho County during the installation of Mr Josiah Arap Sang as the new Chairman of the Myoot Kalenjin Council of Elders.
Mr Musyoka also said that the government has bought land in Rongai, Nakuru County to resettle Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Embobut and Mau forests.
“It’s unacceptable to hold elections with Kenyans living in camps,” he said.
