RAILA says Mudavadi is a COWARD and Luhyas are in ODM

Monday August 6, 2012 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga has renewed his attacks to his former Deputy Musalia Mudavadi by terming him a coward who feared defeat in ODM’s presidential nominations.

Speaking in Kibera on Sunday, the Premier said Mudavadi’s departure had not affected his party, pointing out that the Luhyas were still overwhelmingly in the party.

He said he is confident of winning the next election despite Mudavadi ditching to the United Democratic Movement (UDM).

“Mr Mudavadi left because he feared defeat. Now all Luhyas are with us. ODM is for all Kenyans. It is popular in Coast, North Eastern and everywhere else. Despite vicious campaign against ODM, it is strong,” he said addressing thousands of his supporters at Kamukunji grounds in Kibera.

He promised Kibera residents that he will upgrade their houses once he assumes top office early next year.

“My presidency will be geared towards uplifting the standards of people living in the slum areas. I will provide people with water and clean up the environment,” he said.
