MWAKWERE gets another EXCUSE to skip court

MWAKWERE gets another EXCUSE to skip court

Monday, the 13th of August 2012 - Fresh off last week’s excuse that he had not been served with any documents regarding a criminal suit against him on hate speech charges, Environment Minister Chirau AliMwakwere has today skipped court again claiming that he has ‘high blood pressure.’

The Matuga MP is being charged with hate speech in a case instituted jointly by theNational Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and the Director of Public Prosecution. The charges stem from incendiary statements he reportedly made during the campaigns for Matuga by-election in 2010.

As has been the practice with such matters in the recent past, the case could see Mwakwere lose his position in cabinet, which perhaps exclaims his dogged fight to keep the matter out of the court.

The matter will now be heard on the 27th of August – that’s if the crafty MP doesn’t concoct another excuse to delay it any farther.

More to follow.
