Acting chair of the Kenya National Commission of Human Rights Samuel Tororei has dismissed remarks by former President Moi that he is not fit on the land commission due his disability. Tororei, who is a nominee member to the National Land Commission, said Moi’s remarks were misguided and that his physical disability should not be used to as a measure of judging his capability to serve in a public office.
He said Moi should let the Kenyan to judge his performance, so that they can ascertain on whether he was competent or not. “I’m ready to serve in the Kenya Land Commission so as to ensure that all historical injustices that we have been experienced since time immemorial are addressed in the best manner,” said Tororei. Torerei is one among  the nine nominees that parliament has approved for the National Land Commission that will spearhead land reforms in Kenya.
