MIGUNA Miguna in TROUBLE even before he LANDs

MIGUNA Miguna in TROUBLE even before he LANDs

Thursday August 16,2o12-Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition advisor Miguna Miguna is currently embroiled in a court tussle with Nyakach MP Pollyins Ochieng, who has accused him for defamation in his controversial book Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya.

In his suit, the MP has accused Miguna Miguna and Gilgamesh Publishers of defaming him in the book.

Ochieng said the contents of the book that was launched last month exposed him to public hatred, adding that it was likely to affect his candidature in the next general election.

Through his lawyer Antony Olouch, Ochieng said that the book had portrayed him as worthless and incompetent legislator.

“The insinuation in Mr Miguna’s book is that the MP is lazy and uninspiring politician who has unjustly earned himself a place in parliament,” Ochieng’s lawyer explained.

High Court Judge Lady Justice Mary Ang’awa however said the case would be mentioned on October to confirm whether the MP has served Miguna with the suit papers.

Miguna is currently enjoying his holiday in Canada and he will be back on Today at 8 pm.
