A man allegedly committed suicide at his in-laws place in protest against his wife's infidelity. Residents of Wath Orego village of Kisumu's Winam division were yesterday morning shocked to find Ronald Omondi's body dangling from a tree at the in-laws' gate. Omondi, 27, who hails from Miwani is said to have on several occasions visited his in-laws over his wife's alleged infidelity, but his efforts to resolve the matter had been in vain as the wife's relatives defended her against the accusation. In a suicide note recovered by villagers, Omondi, who had a troubled relationship with his wife, claimed he decided to end his life because of being frustrated by the wife. Close family members said the two often disagreed forcing the woman to return to her parents' home. The police from Kondele police station later took away Omondi's body to the mortuary.
