The Wiper Democratic Party has started recruiting 50 link persons in every constituency to popularise its presidential aspirant.
The Vice-president, Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, who is also Wiper’s flag bearer, said such point persons will act as a link between the grassroots voters and the party headquarters.
“I am asking our party officials in every constituency to identify 50 volunteers each who can act as a link for my campaign team at the grassroots so that I can make inroads in every part of the country and win the forthcoming General Election,” the VP said.
Mr Musyoka who was accompanied by Nyamira County politicians, Steve Mogaka, Ben Momanyi and Samson Mwancha Okioma, spoke in Nyamira town on Saturday evening where he was opening a party office after a three-day tour of the area.
He said if elected president, he would ensure that chiefs and their assistants remained, saying they play a key role in fighting crime in rural areas.
