JUST IN: Former Treasury PS Dr Koinange is DEAD

Monday august 27, 2012 - Former Permanent Secretary at the Treasury Dr Wilfred Koinange is dead.
The career civil servant who was at the centre of the controversy of sh152 billion Goldenberg scandal died on Monday morning following a long illness.
Koinange is fondly remembered as an astute professional who worked with dedication during the Kenyatta and Moi’s government.
He worked for the Ministry of Medical Services and later to the Ministry of Finance.
His father is late Charles Karuga Koinange who was a close confidante of the Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and a provincial administrator.
