Uhuru and Ruto happy with Kibaki

Thursday July 26, 2012 - Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North William Ruto have said that they are happy with President Kibaki’s move of not endorsing any candidate in the next general election.

United Republican Party (URP) spokesman, Dujis MP Aden Duale said they are busy popularising their presidential candidate across the country and are not banking on any endorsement.

“It is the Kenyan public to decide on who will take power after President Kibaki and anybody who waits for an endorsement, will be in for a rude shock,” Duale said.

On his part Uhuru Kenyatta spokesman Munyori Buku, said his boss is happy with Kibaki’s remark since it is up to Kenyan masses to decide not an individual.

“Any endorsement must come from Kenyans, and not an individual,” Buku said.

On Monday, during the Opening of Alkaria 280MW power project, the Head of State said he will not endorse anyone for presidency in the forth coming elections.
