The country needs RAILA after Kibaki-Ngilu

Tuesday July24, 2012-Water Minister Charity Ngilu has said the country needs an iron fist leader to succeed President Mwai Kibaki in order to clear the mess that has bedeviled the country.

Addressing head teachers at Kitui Forestry Research Institute on Monday, the Minister said that the person to succeed President Kibaki must be prepared to clean up the mess and the rot that bedevils the country.

“The economy is on its death bed as hunger, disease, poverty, ignorance and employment stalk wananchi,” Ngilu said.

Ngilu, who is also the Kitui Central lawmaker, asked Kenyans to shun leaders who have been named in corruption scandals and urged voters to avoid electing non- performers.

The Minister also turned the heat on President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga saying they should take responsibility for the woes affecting the society.

“They tend to glorify poverty at the platform instead of facing the challenge of alleviating it,” she said.

Ngilu said she has been monitoring all the presidential aspirants and none of them has given good policies on how to reduce poverty in the country if given a chance to lead.

She declared his allegiance to Prime Minister Raila Odinga and urged all Kenyans to vote for him since he has the required credentials to lead the country.
