RAILA’s sister defends IDA’s conduct

Thursday July 19, 2012 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s younger sister Ruth Adhiambo has defended Mama Ida Odinga over claims that she campaigned for some people during the ODM women elections at Bomas of Kenya last Saturday.

Addressing journalists on Wednesday, Odhiambo exonerated Ida against accusations that she campaigned for her allies against those of sitting ODM MPs.

Adhiambo pointed out that Beth Syeng’o from Kitui who beat Frida Mwadime from Taita Taveta was not Ida’s candidate.

Nominated MP, Rachael Shebesh who supported and campaigned for Mwadime is said to be unhappy with the results and she almost turned physical with the Prime Minister’s wife Ida.
