‘Our lives are in danger’ – terror suspects claim ….

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 – The two terror suspects who were released on bond presented themselves at Milimani courts claiming that their lives are in danger and they needed protection.

Yesterday Aboud Rogo Mohamed and Abubakar Shariff Ahmed went to Kamukunji police station claiming that an armed gang of at least 8 to 10 men had ambushed them at Coast bus offices in Nairobi and tried to mishandle them but they were lucky to run away as they took different directions.

Through their advocate Mr. Mbugua Mureithi the two terror suspects were saved by members of public and the armed gang left by warning them.

Appearing before Principal Magistrate Paul Biwott, the two revealed their concerns to the court as they claim that some members of their group and friends have in the past 5 months become victims of extra judicial killings by state agents.

They fear that political bigwigs or authorities may be after them for their involvement in terrorist activities.

Biwott ordered an investigation on the case. The team of investigators will report to the court before the end of the week with recommendations.
