MPs demand fresh ICC investigations on Raila Odinga


Thursday July 26,2012 - Two legislators from Kiambu on Wednesday urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to conduct fresh investigations into the into the post election violence following revelations by Miguna Miguna book, Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya that connect the Premier to the poll election violence.

Speaking at a burial ceremony in Kiambu County, Juja MP William Kabogo and his Limuru counterpart Peter Mwathi said the revelations connect the Prime Minister Raila Odinga to violence.

They asked President Kibaki to form a team to investigate Prime Minister Raila Odinga.Kabogo asked Raila to take political responsibility and step down as Prime Minister. 

When launching his book two weeks ago, Miguna said he had credible information that connects ODM party and its leader with 2007-08 post election violence that killed 1133 people and left over 650,000 displaced.
