Miguna should be ARRESTED for connecting RAILA to PEV

Sunday July 22, 2012 - A group of religious leaders from Nyanza are requesting the International Criminal Court (ICC) to arrest Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s former aide Miguna Miguna to shed more light on the perpetrators of the 2007 post election violence.

Led by pastor Dr Washington Ogonye Ngende, the clerics said Miguna Miguna should be questioned for trying to connect the Premier with the violence which killed 1133 people and left over 650,000 displaced.

The clerics dismissed Miguna’s claims saying that was an afterthought and the accusations against Raila in Miguna’s memoir Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya were driven by malice.

“He should have made the allegations when he was in the PM’s office .We urge Kenya and to ignore the claims,”Ngende said.

“We demand to know why Miguna has fled to Canada just when the police for him to record a statement over his allegations on post election violence,” he added.

The clerics said they will unanimously vote for Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the upcoming elections despite corruptions allegations on him.
